Du bist in der letzten Reihe und stellst fest, dass irgendwo etwas schrecklich schiefgelaufen ist. Ok schrecklich ist ein hartes Wort, aber du hast einen Fehler gemacht und dieser war am Anfang. Was machst du? Du überprüfst das bisherige Ergebnis und siehst, dass es nicht schlecht aussieht. Aber du weißt immer noch nicht, was schiefgelaufen ist.

Ich hatte dieses Gefühl bei der letzten Reihe von Froze Rose Shawl und es war nicht einmal die wirklich letzte Reihe, es wäre Reihe 107. Jedoch habe ich nach Reihe 81 beschlossen aufzuhören und dann Reihe 106 und 107 zu machen.
Zu diesem Zeitpunkt maß der Schal ~200cm. Was war mein Fehler? Ich dachte, das Muster sei in US-Terminologie geschrieben und nicht in britischer Terminologie. Anstatt Stäbchen (double crochet) in UK-Terminologie zu machen, was übrigens feste Masche (US-Term) wäre, habe ich Stäbchen in US-Term gemacht. Was ein kleiner großer Unterschied ist.

Ich hatte das Glück, das Tuch fertig zu machen, bevor das Garn ausging. Nachdem ich das Garn abgeschnitten hatte, blieben 21gr übrig. Aber ich finde das Ergebnis trotzdem ganz gut.

When you are in the last row, and you figure out something somewhere went terribly wrong. Ok terrible is a hard wording, but you made a mistake, and it was at the beginning. What do you do? You check the result and see it doesn’t look to bad. But you still don’t know what went wrong.

I had this feeling, when I was doing the last row of Froze Rose Shawl, and it wasn’t the real last row, which would have been row 107, I decided to stop after row 81 and then make row 106 & 107. At this time the shawl measured ~200cm. What was my error? I thought the pattern was written in US terminology and not UK terminology. Instead of doing double crochet in UK term, which would be single crochet (US-term) by the way, I made double crochet in US-term. Which is a small, huge difference.

I was lucky enough to finish the shawl before the yarn ran out, after I cut the yarn, I had 21gr left over. But I still think the result looks quite nice.
