Im Freundeskreis gibt es einen Geburtstag und es wurde sich ein Drache gewünscht. Julekind.com hatte passenderweise ein Häkel-Set von Hardicraft im Angebot. Da ich schon die Dino’s von Hardicraft gehäkelt habe, war es für mich eine einfache Entscheidung dieses Set zu nehmen.

Auch wenn ich die Farben wie im Set vorrätig habe, habe ich die aus dem Set genommen. Ich wollte wissen, ob die Menge an Garn ausreicht. Für die Farben B & C war es vollkommen ausreichend, bei Farbe A hatte ich zwischenzeitlich Sorge, dass es nicht reicht.

Kleiner Tipp, ich habe nicht wie angegeben die Teile gehäkelt, sondern bin wie folgt vorgegangen:

• Farbe C: zuerst habe ich alle Stacheln gehäkelt
• Farbe B: zuerst den Bauch, dann die Hörner und zum Schluss die Flügel gehäkelt
• Farbe A: einen Flügel gehäkelt und mit dem Farbe B Flügel zusammen gehäkelt, dies für die zweiten Flügel wiederholt. Den Schwanz, die Ohren, die Arme, den Körper (in der letzten Runde wurden die Arme mit fest gehäkelt) und zum Schluss den Kopf gehäkelt. Hier kann ich positiv anmerken, dass früh genug die Augen eingefügt werden und dies auch in der Anleitung so beschrieben ist.

Anschließend kommt mein „liebster“ Part, das zusammen Nähen der einzelnen Elemente. Hier bin ich wie folgt vorgegangen:

• Hörner und Ohren am Kopf annähen
• Stacheln an den Schwanz annähen
• Kopf an den Körper annähen
• Schwanz an den Körper annähen
• Stacheln an Kopf und Körper annähen
• Flügel an den Körper annähen > hier habe ich den letzten Rest von 245 Green Yellow aufgebraucht

Diese Amigurumi-Figur ist super, die Anleitung ist sehr gut beschrieben. Ich würde nur beim nächsten Mal etwas mehr für Farbe A einplanen.

For a birthday of a friend of mine, I made a dragon. Just in time Julekind.com had a crochet set from Hardicraft on offer. Since I have already crocheted the Dino’s from Hardicraft, it was an easy decision for me to take this set.

Even though I have the colors in stock as in the set, I have taken them out of the set. I wanted to know if the amount of yarn was enough. For the colors B & C it was perfectly sufficient, with color A I was worried in the meantime that it was not enough.

A little tip, I didn’t crochet the parts as indicated, but proceeded as follows:

• Color C: first I crocheted all the spines
• Color B: first the belly, then the horns and finally the wings crocheted
• Color A: crocheted one wing and crocheted together with the color B wing, repeating this for the second wings. The tail, the ears, the arms, the body (in the last round the arms were crocheted tightly) and finally the head crocheted. Here I can positively note that the eyes are inserted early enough and this is also described in the instructions.

Then comes my „favorite“ part, sewing the individual elements together. Here I proceeded as follows:

• Sew horns and ears to the head
• Sewing spines to the tail
• Sewing the head to the body
• Sewing the tail to the body
• Sew spines to the head and body
• sew wings to the body > here I used up the last remnant of 245 Green Yellow

This amigurumi figure is great, the instructions are very well described. I would just plan a little more for color A next time.
